    Food Stuffs
  • 1 whole acorn squash
  • 1 tsp butter
    Seasonings
  • dash cinnamon
  • dash nutmeg
  • dash cloves
  • dash allspice
    Equipment
  • broiling pan
  • knife
  • cutting board
    Steps for Completion
  1. Turn on the oven to 350°F before you start cutting so its preheated by the time you are done.
  2. Cut each squash in half so there are two even pieces. These suckers are tough to cut. Sometimes its easier if you can get the stem off first.
  3. Scoop out the seeds and guts with a spoon. Throw that shit out.
  4. Sprinkle cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, and/or cloves on the orange fleshy part of the squash. Don't douse it but cover the surface. Put a half teaspoon of butter in each squash.
  5. Put the squash on the broiling pan fleshy side up.
  6. Put the squash in the oven once it is preheated. It should take around an hour and 15 to cook. You want it to be fairly soft when done, like cooking a potato.
